A little update

Things are changing very fast. It's been too long since I've updated, I guess two big things have happened.

ONE

We're engaged! Jason proposed December 9th 2008 and we are getting married here in the Fresno Temple March 28th 2009. I am counting down the days. I'm so excited to be sealed to my best friend forever and share the rest of forever with each other (i'm not sure he feels the same :D).

TWO

We added a new member to the family. Abigail (Abby) Louise Bon Qui Qui Morris. She is a spaniel mix. Not sure what else she has in her, but she's our little bundle of joy.

Things are changing quickly, but they are changing for the better. I can't wait to see what else the new year brings us!!!!

Freezing in the Middle of Nowhere Colorado

This week I have been in Houston, Texas and now the middle of nowhere Colorado for work. Texas was nice as usual, so similar to California. However this town I am in now, Nederland, Colorado is well Sasquatch territory according to Jared.

I have also not learned from past trips to Colorado, and wore flip flops on the plane. In short I got odd looks and comments about my choice of attire in Colorado right after a small storm. I must say I am glad I live in California and I am NEVER leaving.

Turkey Day 2008!!!

We had a very good Thanksgiving! We ventured to the little town of Clipper Mills, California where my Uncle and Grandma live. It was quite the adventure. Full of food, four wheeling, find a cute christmas tree, and of course football. On Friday Jason and I headed to Manteca where we had a traditional taco dinner with the Heinze family and Tina. After dinner we went to see if we could get any Black Friday deals, and both Jason and I were very happy with our purchases! On Saturday we visited the new Bass Pro Shop that is in Manteca. It was AMAZING!!!! Lots of stuff to look at, a cool fish tank, and they even had a little fudge making area. Manteca is now definitely on the map with a Bass Pro Shop AND a Costco. It was a great break from work and school, and I was lucky to spend it with my family and Jason.

Lucas had to teach me how to use this thing again!

It's like we never left high school.

Classic Mapuana and Auntie Chelsea picture.

Jason & Mo (They're both adorable if you ask me)

Jacob, Me, and Lucas getting ready to go on the quad.

We just aren't very photogenic, but that's okay. It was a perfect day anyways.

Jason's Birthday

For Jason's birthday I made him a yummy breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast, and burnt bacon. After work, we went to the Fresno State game, it was my first. The student section was definately interesting and they had pepsi products. I hope Jason had fun though. The Saturday after his birthday we went to birthday lunch at Red Robin and then went to Chilly Chili night by the Fresno Temple. On Sunday, we had a YUMMY birthday dinner with a few friends from the ward. We had scalloped potatoes (which Jason and I are getting really good at making), tri tip, salad, and garlic bread. Then we headed to a fireside, and then everyone came over for the amazing cookies and cream ice cream cake that I made. It was not my cup of tea (too much chocolate) but I think it was a hit.

Halloween!

Halloween was fun! Jason really got into the Halloween spirit and dressed up as a mad scientist. It was fun to spike his hair all crazy and I know he had a fun time burning holes in his lab coat. As for me, I decided I would be an  "updated" version of little red riding hood but I ended up doing a costume change at the end of the night to Jason's lab assistant.

Maybe next year I can convince Jason to match me..... The crazy thing about Halloween is right after October 31st it seems like the rest of the year just flies by and before you know it we will be in 2009!!!!

Masquerade

For Melissa's 21st birthday she decided to have a themed masquerade party. It was such a blast. I do however wish that I did not have to work that night so I could of got more dressed up for the festivities.

Here is Laci with her amazing make-up and hair. I was way jealous.

I had two different masks for the party but by the end of the night I was rockin' it mask-less.

It was a fun night full of chocolate fountains, music, dancing by Michael and Blair which I wish I could erase from my mind, and a fun night with friends.
